S SEOAgent

Connect GitHub

It takes about a minute on GitHub. SEOAgent opens its first pull request about 5 minutes later.

If you skip it, we ask after GitHub.

On GitHub you will

  1. Choose the account or organization that owns your site’s repository.
  2. Choose “Only select repositories” and pick the one that builds your site.
  3. Click Install & Authorize. GitHub sends you straight back here.

If an organization owns the repository and you are not an owner, GitHub asks an owner to approve it. We give you a note to send them.

What SEOAgent can do

  • Read the code in the repositories you pick, to find SEO fixes.
  • Open pull requests with those fixes, on its own branches. You review and merge each one.
  • See whether your checks pass on its pull requests.
  • Read your verified email address, to set up your SEOAgent account.

What it never does

  • Merge anything, unless you turn on auto-merge for articles.
  • Push to your main branch, or touch repositories you did not pick.

You can remove it any time on GitHub, in Settings → Applications.
